Okay, how about we insitute some sort of aging schedule and have a Retirement Cap, say... when a fighter reaches 45? Let's say you have a record such as... 20-9 or something. In MMA real terms, a fighter with that record would have had longevity and a career over several years, such as Frank Shamrock and Randy Courture. So let's say, that every IMMAF card is a month of action. Since we have one every week, 4 Cards = 4 months of "real time"; hence, 12 IMMAF cards = One Year. Or, 3 months of IMMAF = One Year.
What this means is, that every 3 months, everyone's fighters ages a year. When they hit 45, they are forced to retire, regardless. They can, of course, retire voluntarily at ANY time before they reach 45. But, if they fight until that time, they must then retire.
Ty, this could also be retroactive. You have the ages given when each fighter was submitted and when they were submitted. You could then calculate how many years they have progressed in the league and update them accordingly.
I should have already done this, lol, but I will figure up just how long Jaya and Stihl have been in the league as examples.
How does everyone else feel about aging fighters? A guy can't be 28 forever.

NOTICE: IFN's, OWGP's, WotC's Shidokans... all those things would not figure into aging. For simplicity purposes, time would be determined from IMMAF card to IMMAF card as one month. Everything else falls withing that time frame.
Another reason for doing this, is that we can retire great fighters who have had a long and illustirous IMMAF career and then we (as handlers) can create new ones, without trying to keep up with 14-21 guys all at once.
I really think that once implemented, this would be a really good thing.

I say things are fine the way they are. I don't like the aging thing because the timeline screws up any continuity that goes on with my guys that are in wrestling.

Your wrestling league and this league are TWO COMPLETELY SEPERATE leagues. One has nothing to do with the other. I am talking about this league only. Just bc your guys might age here doesn't mean they age in your wrestling league, dude. And if they retire here, I doubt you'd retire them in yoru wrestling league. I am talking about the IMMAF only.

Les Henderson started doing MMA late in IMMAF at the ripe old age of 30 so Les I like to see as an MMA "elder statesman". How old would he be right now I dont know but id like to know for sure. Me personally I like the idea and only 2 of my fighters are really old Les and Johnny Vaughn so it doesnt affect me too much.

The IMMAF is an e-fed that puts fun first. Forcing guys to retire after a certain number of cards would be a pointless rule that would add stress to what is otherwise a simple game. The same goes for training.
Now, J. Buzz, I want you to do something for me: Stop proposing new ideas and start making women fighters so I can finally have AN MMA LESBIAN ORGY!!!!!!!!!!!

For the reasons Fallin says I agree, we put fun first.
However we won't go too far. IMMAF 1000 (assuming we get there, haha) will not have Mitch Armour making his comeback at SHW to fight for the belt.

Maybe a few others, especially Fallin's guys.

Although keep the ideas coming, I love this shit. Member involvement and input is what I want to see.

If it were IMMAF 1000, I think Armour fighting SHW wouldn't be inappropriate. Likewise, Hunter Dogan would be in the midget league.
Seriously, now, list all the female fighters we have. Pronto!

Bayan Bayar was the first guy I sent in and he fought in IMMAF 2, alongside Foswell.
