IMMAF MAGAZINE: Hello fans and today we have former IMMAF Lightweight Champion, Wes Holverson, in the house to partake in another one of his amazing interviews! Wes, you are just rebounding off a physically demanding win over another contending lightheavyweight in Rodney Hewitt, how have you been since that bout?
WES HOLVERSON: I've been doing great. Your right, that was one of the most physically demanding fights of my career. It only went about two minutes, but it was the fastest two minutes of my life. It was a great win against a great fighter and I'm happy that I'm finally ranked in the top five once again.
IMMAF MAGAZINE: Take us back to your fight with Matt Daniels. It went on for four rounds, but Daniels got the better of you. What was that like?
WES HOLVERSON: Very hard. I had held onto that belt through four defenses and it was hard to realize that it was not mine any longer.
IMMAF MAGAZINE: It was also the first time you had been knocked out, were you angry?
WES HOLVERSON: At who? Matt? No way, I was just upset with myself for letting him get the better of me. After that fight, when I was in the locker room, I almost started crying. I don't do that often, but I almost did that night. It was tough, but I made it through and went on to win my next two fights.
IMMAF MAGAZINE: Well, that brings us up to date. Any idea on who your next opponent will be?
WES HOLVERSON: I'm not exactly sure who, but there is a young gun I've had my eye on as of late. His name is Jason Arsenault. He reminds me of myself not too long ago in that he's a dominant fighter and he knows how to use his head. He's a beast and I love having a good challenge.
IMMAF MAGAZINE: So tell us about your recent expeditions. Last we heard, you were engaged, how has that been going?
WES HOLVERSON: Great actually. I told her that when I win the title again we can get married because I want to wear the belt to my reception. She wasn't too excited about that, but she's in no hurry so she was fine with it.
IMMAF MAGAZINE: How about Team Bold? Has everyone been training together at all?
WES HOLVERSON: Me and Paulo (Avery) are there together every other day because were both on IMMAF now and all of that stuff. Keith (Stern) has been vacationing with his wife and his son in California. He went to see some family and might not even be trainign anymore. He has since retired after his bout with Rix Hallmein and he doesn't go back on his word. Jay Dee (Emerson) is at the gym sometimes and Ty (Territh) hasn't been there in a while. Were not as close now because of the new stuff everyone is doing and because me and Paulo are so busy with our careers. I'm just sitting back and letting life take me in.
IMMAF MAGAZINE: We do that too! Then the boss tells us that break is over and life is busy again. So, what is next in Wes Holverson's career in the IMMAF?
WES HOLVERSON: The IMMAF Lightweight Title... again.
IMMAF MAGAZINE: Well, Wes, thank you for being here once again and good luck in your next bout.
WES HOLVERSON: Thank you, but I never need luck. I have the skills!
