Maria Cruz: Things didnt go exactly as we planned did it..
Things started out well, Mariano as I expected being a better stand up fighter then Yamamoto, forced him to shoot in for the takedown and landed a heavy strike, then he pulled gaurd. Why didnt you stand up? I know you love ground and pound, but until you start working with us during the submission defense course, you're going to have to keep it standing at all costs, now, if you want to train submission defense with us next time just stop by and hop in. Even Brik was willing to learn some submissions Dan.
Things got a little better as Erick did exactly as I asked him to and took Vaghn down right off the bat, smothered him and over powered him, it was awesome! Congrats to Erick Coleman who quickly took apart a former Heavyweight Champion!
Then things got bad again, Brian Brian Brian..I told you where I believed his weakness was, to stand up and trade with him was just foolish. I hope you learn from this loss, because I know for a fact that you can beat him, you can tap out Rockwell, but no reason to sulk, there will be other bouts, and we have IMMAF 62 coming up soon!
A huge huge match up is coming up at IMMAF 62 with Kenichiro taking on the guy who took my title, Fujita. You guys have fought before and since then he has been on a tear like a freight train, but this is a train I believe we can derail. His game plan is pretty basic, slam you. If that doesnt KO you, he smothers and goes for a submission. The ket to winning this bout is to NOT clinch unless you stagger him from the outside badly first. You are very fast, so I expect you to go out there and land the first shot, make it a big eye opening shot but do NOT, I repeat, do NOT let him shoot in first. Land the first shot, stay on him but keep your distance and be ready to sprawl at all times, sprawl and brawl is your game.
I would like to also wish my brother Olivera, Antonio Rodriguez, and Mitch Armour goodluck in their bouts at IMMAF 62, yes even Mitch. I thought this whole "I'm a changed man" thing was just another ploy to get a title shot but it seems as if he's legit about it which is great, maybe later on we could have some joint gym training or something so to get a different feel of training and not be training with the same people day after day. I cant wait to see this card, hopefully you all win, or atleast have fun out there!
